I have my first request for a book to go to Puerto Rico - on average, how is the travel time? It'll be going out first class.

Actually, I've found PR to be quite quick.  I was expecting it to be slow.  Florida Keys took longer.  I'll do Media Mail to PR.  (Never to Guam.  Those suckers take forever.)

The site will allow 35 days for it to arrive, but it will probably get there faster.

I have no idea where you live, but when I mailed from NY it was fairly quick.

A few months ago I sent a book media mail to the Virgin Islands and it took just over a week.

I have family in PR and unless it's Christmas they get packages from me in a week. Sometimes 9 days but it's never been longer (except at Christmas). I don't know if it matters but I send to Ponce, Mayaguez and Utuado. Good luck!

oh yeah, when I lived in Guam, our mail came on a barge.  One January a big storm flooded the mail barge and my birthday packages came soggy and ruined.

Just a quick update on my original post - I mailed the book to Puerto Rico on Saturday - it was received today!
