I am trying to set up a recipe book for a historical society and need some very old cook books (1917 or before,) Is there a way to request these?

You could put up a notice in the Book Bazaar & in the cooking genre forum stating what you're looking for.

ETA:  You may want to include details like whether you're willing to pay a credit for cookbooks that may not be postable due to age & wear.

What Sheena said  :)  you will have better visability in those forums.  I have a vintage cookbook, I checked for you but it's not old enough (1933)...see posting does work!

Good luck with the books and the project Dorothy!
