The Vengeful Bridegroom You tell me,

"His breath came in short bursts, moaning as he kissed her harshly, his tongue mating with hers, accepting no withdrawal, no defeat. With all of his might, he broke from her sweet lips to growl and spill into her hands...What had she done? And in a tree?"

"She tapped her foot, wishing she could at least recall a smattering of Italian when she studied at Filmore's School for the Proper Raising of Today's Young Ladies to Become Shining Examples of of Womanhood. Nothing came to her."

grown and spill into her hands.

I don't know which is worse, the horrible prose, or the glaring homophone error.

Genie, I am ashamed to admit it but I spotted it on Harriet's reviews. She gave it four and the other two gave it one and wondered how it ever got published. Library had them on order and I couldn't resist having a look-see for myself. No, they are not 13. You wouldn't believe the names of some of the characters, and the action has just switched to an inn called The Pickled Goose.

Sorry, I assumed it was groan.  No worries.

Mimi, do you really want to know? OK, so there's this big tree outside her bedroom window which used to belong to his sister and he used to climb out there after bedtime and talk for hours to said sister. So he sneaks out there to keep an *eye* on the heroine (in case someone wants to harm her). She sees him, he coaxes her out on the limb with him and then they suck face and then physically satisfy each other with their hands (can you picture this?). On the tree limb. Yes indeed.

Hehe, there is that infamous sex with trees book, I think I'll put a spin on that with my review of this one. Must go to work now so can't explain about that until later. devil

That was kinda mean to tease you all like that. Not.

Read a bit this morning and will have to quote more. Gawd what drivel.

Wait. So this is a brother and sister getting it off? In a tree? You're pulling one over on us, Cathy.

Is that why Mimi's snickering?

No, no. When he was younger he used to climb into the tree and visit with his sister. Then when the heroine entered the picture he decided to repeat the treely visit, and invited her out onto the limb with him for some *cough* finger play.

Here's the review on the sex with trees book I promised. Library does have this but I don't know if I can bear it.
