I read a total of 303 books in 2014 - paperbacks, trade-sized paperbacks, hardcovers, audios CD and audio cassettes. I keep track of what I read on my Profile each year. Also by month in the forums - http://www.paperbackswap.com/HAPPY-NEW-YEAR-ITS-JANUARY/topic/299258/

I read 129 books during 2014.  I thought that was a good amount until I saw how many you read Nancy!  Happy New Year!

You're asking me?  The one who doesn't keep track?.  I 'm not sure, but I'd estimate 100-120.

On goodreads I challenged myself to 75. I started the 75th on December 29th, but didn't finish it until the second.

I'm going for 80 in 2015.

My family thinks I'm nuts, but I'll be sure to tell them all your totals! Wow! Impressive!:)

Nancy, I can't imagine reading over 300 books a year, that's almost one a day!!

I read 86 and thought that was a lot, but according to most of these posts, I'm definitely a laggard!

I think I came in at around 145-150 last year, including paper, audio and eBooks, which is significantly lower than previous years.  Funny thing, looking back over my reading logs there has been a steady decline in books read every since I joined PBS --- and it's member forums (ironic, that), but since I got my tablet and became addicted to its delights, my reading totals have crashed.  Bad, bad.

I read 164 in 2014.

(I keep a book list in my profile every year. It helps me to know where to pick up again in a series, etc. Plus, I just like to keep track for myself.)

I started tracking/logging my books several years ago when I discovered that publishers were aggressively releasing previously published books with new covers, new cover teasers, and in some rare cases, new titles, or the book had been published under a pseudonym and now was being re-released under the author's "real" name.  After several book purchases or library requests where I was so excited to get a favorite author's "new" book only to be disappointed to discover I had read it years ago I decided to start logging my books read.   Added to that, it seems just about every author writes in series now and it can be next to impossible to keep straight on what you've read and not read.  Thank goodness for Fantastic Fiction.

Are you counting ones that I picked up and put back down for "later"?

Seriously tho, I would say between 40-60,. for me.

I made some nice new discoveries in the past year, James Lee Burke series, and the #1 Ladies Detective Agency~Alexander McCall Smith, I love that he can write the voice of a spunky woman with a wide girth! He is a great Feminist in my book!

"Wild"  was very good, when I finally finished it, good journey lit!

I logged 113 finished on Goodreads. There are several I have not finished that I want to go and complete...not because I like them, but because I hate seeing them listed there as incomplete! Debra R., I also discovered #1 Ladies Detective Agency~Alexander McCall Smith this last year. I enjoy some he wrote in other series as well.

I read 66 books in 2014 and about the same number of short stories and novellas (and DNFed a bunch of other books). That's about average for me, although I'd like to read 75 to 100 books per year.

I think I hit 77 last year.  I have been right in that area the last few years.

Last year was the first year I didn't keep track, but it was a terrible year for me and I didn't read very much. So maybe 50-75 at the most.
