Is the ISBN number important?  Are books requested by ISBN or just Title and author? I have books that are on the club request list but they are not being

requested.

When you post a book, ISBN, Title, Author, and Booktype (hardcover, etc) must match exactly.   All books are in the system by ISBN.  They are posted by ISBN and wishlisted by ISBN.

You could have books that are wishlisted in one ISBN but available to order in another.

You have to post a book using its ISBN, but someone can search for a book and request it using a title or author.  Even though your ISBN may not be wishlisted, someone looking for the book can look it up by title or author and see that you have an alternate copy.

So unless the wishlisted version is something unusual like the audio version, your book still has a good chance of being requested.

I think most people probably search by title or author to get every possible edition brought up. Then they order or wish based on whatever binding they want.  So if there are typos in the books listing, it may not come up in a search.  Also the 5 digit ISBNs don't connect in the wish list expander.
