As of today I have 137.

I am just wondering because I sometimes feel like I should stay off this site for awhile and read what I have, but I just can't stop collecting.

It says 252, but I haven't updated it in a while so it's definitely more than that.  I have most of my WL on hold so I can get some out before I get more but, somehow, I still keep getting more lol

863, but probably at least 150 of those are my husband's...so 700 for me -- at least 2 years worth of reading!

I have 174 on my TBR list here, but that's not an accurate number. At last count (about 4 months ago), I had 638 unread books in my home. Add to that about 300 unread ebooks.

I have 36, but I try to keep the number down. I have ordered a lot of keeper books that I didn't put on my TBR pile. I just have the ones I'm going to repost on there.

About 390.  Give or take.  Yikes.

I have about 425 give or take.  And instead of reading those, I'm always finding books at the library or getting books through BookSwim or ordering more from PBS.

I consider my TBR pile my back-up - in case I can't find anything else to read, I can always rely on those.  LOL  Weird, huh, especially considering how many there are.

Wow, I don't feel so bad anymore!  I only have about 60 books lying around that I haven't read.

932 logged into PBS TBR pile. I purged some recently from my physical TBR but not PBS and there might be some duplicates. I also have my ebooks and downloaded audiobooks on there so I don't accidentally order something I already have.

I have around 125.  I had 89 at the beginning of the year and was determined to work it down to about 50.  You can see how well that plan has gone!

Yes.  I was planning on making an effort to keep mine at no longer than 100 books.  :::laughs hollowly::::

Melanie D. - you make me feel good - I have 1136 on mine, but it's probably a little more as I haven't updated in a while.  LOL. Pat

My goal was to end the year with less than 700.  That has't gone as planned.

Wow.   You guys are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My TBR list is only around 20,  and even that number stresses me out.  blush   I have put a portion of my WL on hold because I want to get my TBR pile down to under 10...  I don't know why I feel the pressure to catch up, because I am so relaxed in other areas of my life. There is just something about a pile of unread books that gives me the sweats, and haunts my dreams...

**now I feel silly for getting stressed over such a small number. I am not even near the league you guys are playing in!**

Stephanie, I totally relate to what you are saying. Those 125 books on the shelf drive me crazy!  I hate going in my bedroom and facing that shelf, which is now double-stacked in places.  I'd love to get it down to 30 or so.

I have 250ish. It's very stressing even though I recently got rid of around 30ish (so it was 280ish). I would love to get below 100 again.

Well, I haven't been under 100 for well over a decade.  Looking at it another way, having too few books to choose from would make me feel like I didn't have enough to read or that I had "nothing to read".  I think about 100 is perfect for me.  Things are obviously out of control right now for me.  Fie, PBS, Fie!

Aimee - your signature quote is so perfect for this thread!

My goal was to end the year with less than 700.  That has't gone as planned.

My goal was to have less at the end of the year than I started with. That hasn't gone as planned either.

I just keep running into sales. When B.Daltons went out business I couldn't pass up stocking up on new release paperbacks I wanted to read at 60% off. We help at a library booksale and the bag sale gets me every time. Many of the books on my TBR are not gotta reads, many are "rescued" books that looked interesting.

Those 125 books on the shelf drive me crazy!  I hate going in my bedroom and facing that shelf, ... Wha!?!?!? I love to go downstairs into the family room and just sit there and stair at my bookshelves. Reading one instead would probably be a better use of that time ;^P

743...

I like books.blush

Yep- me too!  I got tired of paying overdue fees at the library, so now I have my own library!  I read what I want, when I want :)

If only I could stop adding to the WL...

I love to go downstairs into the family room and just sit there and stair at my bookshelves. Reading one instead would probably be a better use of that time ;^P

You too?  My husband will sometimes find me standing in front of my floor to ceiling bookshelves at night before bed, just looking... He thinks it's cute.  Cute... hmph!  This is serious stuff here!  :P

Right now I have 26 in the pile, but 8 are just waiting to be scooped up because they are WLd.  I guess I better increase my reading rate to get those WL titles back into the system.
