How many books would you say you average a week that you mail out?

I post books in clumps. And check for Wish Listed books. So rarely have a request outside the clusters.

Wow, what a question, and the answer will vary wildly from member to member!

I have been a member since 8/2007 and have mailed over 1600 books. Doing the math, this averages out to about 5.16 books per week. For me it goes in spurts, with some weeks coming in at zero or only one book and others coming in at ten or more books.

It really depends upon how frequently you post and whether the books you are are in demand.

Average?  Probably 8 a month, but it depends on the size of your bookshelf and the type of books you post.   Plus if you read a lot of WL books and post as soon as you finish, you can estimate based upon how many books you read a month.

I don't keep a bookshelf anymore so I mail out as many as I want to when I want.  I just post WL books as I need credits.

When I kept an active bookshelf of about 100 books, I mailed 1-2 non wish list books a week.  I rarely posted anything with a lot of copies in the system.

Average? Maybe 3 or so a month. I mostly post WL books, but occasionally someone will order something off my (small) shelf. It really totally depends on how you choose to use the site.

Lately I have been averaging about 7 books a week, but there is a direct correlation between how many WL books I have read that week and how many I send out. Most of the books I am sending do have members wishing for them. Perhaps 5% are coming off my bookshelf FIFO and some of those books have been posted since 2007. I am getting very close to purging books from my bookshelf that have lots of copies in the system, just  because I am tired of storing them and don't need the credits.

I got curious so I looked - it was interesting to realise I have been a member here exactly 364 weeks (my 7 year anniversary is Saturday). I have mailed out 363 books. So , my average over 7 years is one book a week!

Over that period, I have had periods of several months of inactivity, then times where i was mailing 4-5 books at a time.

If I assume each book at postage of $2.69, that's nearly $1000 postage. Wist I hadn't looked at that LOL.

Sometimes I'll send 2-3 in a week, then sometimes I'll go weeks or months without a request. Granted, I'm not posting any hot, new, in-demand books, so I'm not exactly surprised :)

Yeah, I should point out that mostly I mail out romance novels that I get from my mother. If I had to rely on mailing out books from my own personal taste, my numbers would be much much lower than previously mentioned.

Wow my actual average is low.  I've mailed out 992 books per the transaction archive and I've been a member for 369 weeks.  So my average is 2.7 per week.  Of course that doesn't include all the game books or unpostable freebies I've mailed out.  The bulk of that 992 was in my first 4 years here before I had to rely more on the library and became an ebook addict.

It depends on the week.  I've mailed as many as one or eighteen.
