Julie,

That isn't quite the case. If it's proven that the listing is absolutely wrong, PBS will change it even if it is wishlisted, and sometimes even if it has been posted, depending. For instance, often new hardcover releases will be in the system as paperbacks. People wishlist them because they want the book, and there are always some who will post it regardless of the listed binding, but the listing is still wrong and PBS often changes them to correct the error.

Looks like a good time to submit an edit, the book has no wishers and none posted.

I've changed a book from a paperback listing to a hardcover one before (and yes, it had wishers).  I gave PBS the evidence that it was indeed a hardcover (including the page on the publisher's web site) and it was corrected the next day.

Just one other comment, it takes by far, more than just 3 other sites showing it to be a different binding before PBS will change it. There has to be "overwhelming evidence" that the change is correct, and there can never be any copies posted to it. WL sometimes, but not always, I believe the comment PBS made to me once, was that it is the members' responsibility to keep an eye on the books on their WL, not PBS's.

It is always greatly appreciated if you yourself do the research before submitting the request, as I'm usually the one that has to make sure the "overwhelming evidence" is there. And if you've already seen that there isn't that much evidence, then you save me the time of looking for nothing. Not saying I don't want you to submit them, just saying I'm very grateful if you've already done the homework before making the submission and don't submit ones that you have already seen can probably not be changed  :)

In my case it was a new release (maybe a month old) that was definitely only available in hardcover but was listed on PBS as a paperback. :)

I am running around crazy right now or I would submit the edit myself. I could find no place other than PBS that lists the book as a paperback. Every single place I looked had it listed as a Hard Cover. If you haven't done anything in a couple a weeks Bernie, send me a reminder and I will but together an edit on the book.
