I'm not very computer literate so maybe someone here can help me figure this out.

When I look at posts in the BB, members have multiple books listed that I can click on and get the info on that book.

When I try to do the same, I can get one link in there, but when I leave the page to go back to my shelf to copy the next book's info, my posting in-progress is blank and I have to start over.

For now, what I do is copy the first book's link and post it, then get the next book's info and have to click edit to get the next book's info in the same post.  I figured there must be a better way to do this.

I've tried using the link icon at the top but I haven't had luck with that either.

Any help with this appreciated!

1. Type the names of the books you want to link.

2. Highlight a book. Press the link icon (above the message edit area, on the right - a few links of a chain in front of a globe). A popup comes up. Paste the link in there.

3. Repeat step 2 for each book.

Rick, thanks for responding but I must still be doing something wrong.

I just tried what you said in a thread I started in the BB (2 for 1 - Cindy Adams' books).

First I wrote the message.  Then I highlighted the first title - clicked the link icon and copied the title in the url space.  That makes the title live in the post but when I click on it after posting, I'm just redirected back to my message.  How do I get the URL of the book by just highlighting the title in the message as I'm writing?

Sorry to be so dense about all this.  :(

I have a 2nd PBS page open from which to copy links without navigating away from the thread I want to post to. Does that make sense?

Yes it does.  Guess I'll have to pull out my computer book and figure out how to do that too.

Ok, I think I've got this working -once I figured out how to keep both pages open, I managed to post a thread about my Bill Cosby books in the BB and I got all the information pasted in there the first time.

Thanks for the help, Leslie.

Yuppers, like Leslie I have excellent success by opening several tabs when posting links

This discussion thread also has some interesting pointers.

I'll check out the thread you linked, Leslie.

Thank you, everyone, for all the pointers.  The help is much appreciated!
