Before "The Secret" there was Norman Vincent Peale and Dale Carnegie. Even though this book was written over 50 years ago, it still applies to today's world. I'm a teacher and I've even applied it to my work. I tried to get books on "burnout" or "teaching methods" but they don't work because the authors have never been in an elementary classroom. Books on theory and classroom management are fine but I don't appreciate them being written by someone who's never stepped into an elementary classroom but graduated from a Ph.D. program and went on to teach college. Completely different world. So I looked around for something that was not "occupation specified" and found it with Dale Carnegie. I've used his advise and changed how I taught and how the students learned. Great book!

Great book , has lots of basic truth to it ,eye opening in many cases.
THis book is really great. I'm reading a chapter a night or so. I'm trying to think on each chapter. I can already tell this is a book I will be rereading for a long time. It will join the collection of books that I write in and highlight text and earmark pages! Its definitely a keeper!
