I downloaded a bunch of Audio CDS to my IPOD. My library had the whole vampire huntress (?) series.  Meridith I think is the character.  (A Lick of Frost, A Caress of Twilight etc..,)  I loaded up like 6 of them.

How erotic are they?  Will I be dying if I listen to them in the car on my cross country drive?  DH and I will be alone in the hotel rooms at night (w/the dog) but still.  I don't want to be all hot and bothered all day in the car.  Although I supposed I can skip ahead through the erotic parts. I  did that today while listening to Dark Prince while walking the dog today.

the Meredith Gentry series is about a Faerie princess.  (no vampires involved.)  the whole storyline is about her trying to get pregnant, so there's a lot of sex going on, with a lot of guys.  if you skip through those parts, you'll be skipping a lot.  :)  though for all of that, i don't usually get hot & bothered reading LKH's stuff, so i wouldn't rate them as too hot.  (not even remotely as hot as the Lora Leigh books i've read.)  plus i've never tried an audio book, so i'm not sure whether to say go for it, or not.  maybe try the first one and see?

I don't know about this series but my friend read the other series and loved the first book then she really picked up speed in the orgy department she said!

they aren't erotic, it's just a bunch of bad sex with anything that has sexual organs.

eta: had to change it, since I don't think it matters if its a penis or not with these books.

Hamilton's Meridith Gentry series is a very adult fairy tale. There is lots of sex with lots of different men. Big, strong, fairy warrior men. Some people like the books, some don't. I have and read them all and I like them. I think if you go skipping the erotic parts in the story you'll be skipping big chunks of the story. A lot of the plot of these books hinges around sex, and since Merry has the power of fertility sex is very often how she and other's gain power. I really like the series, but wouldn't suggest "listening" to it if you have to skip the sex. There's so much sex, and so much strange sex in these books I can't imagine it on audio book...it would have my face flaming as red as a stop sign...

Hee hee..maybe I should start looking at drivers at red lights and seeing if they're blushing...I remember once looking over and seeing a guy singing along with the same station I had on..lips moving right along to the song I was listening to!

Hmmm.  Not sure if these are going to be my thing then.  Oh well they were free.  Although if the sex is really kinky then it doesn't usually turn me on so I might be ok with these in the car.  I was able to skip ahead on a sex scene in Dark Prince yesterday while walking and still follow the story line.  Out walking the dog in broad daylight is not a convenient time for a graphic sex scene on an audio book.

I have a feeling I'm not going to like these.  I like sex in my books but I'm more of the sex in a commited relationship kind of person.  I like a good loving 3-some but not orgies with random people or the heroine going from one guy to another throughout the book.  So I probably just wasted a whole lot of time downloading these to my IPOD.

The heroine is pretty close with all the guys she is sleeping with, they are all members of her "royal guard" or something like that. Hamilton likes to put her heroines in relationships with more than one man, but keeps her heroines attached to anyone she's having sex with. The guys she sleeps with are main characters throughout the entire series, they don't just show up for a few chapters and disappear never to be heard from again. They all live with her and most are in every book.
