So I have four people on the wish list hold and I've only one copy. I only entered it once, by the way.

This is so weird.

What do I do?

Contact the powers that be.  It may be just a glitch and you have only one person typed in 4 times.

Maybe I want it too. Let me know if those four (prob. all the same person) turn it down.

Glitch I'm sure - I received e-mail notice that 3 people were requesting a WL book I posted but when I check my account it only shows one requested.

I had that happen once.  I contacted TPTB and they took care of it.

A book posting multiple times is a common enough glitch that the Help Center addresses it (tho you might have set a record for 4 times!). If there is a PM button and the Team hasn't cleaned it up, I would PM the requester and ask that they accept all of the offers so that you can cancel them, otherwise they will roll to other requesters.

from the Help Center:

My book got posted into the system twice!

This happens when there is a server hiccup, or when the posting member clicked "Post book" or "Refresh" while the book-posting was in process.

  • You can simply delete the extra copy from your bookshelf
  • If the book is on a WIsh List and involved in a pending offer:
    • Wait for the book to be requested.
    • Accept the first request
    • Decline any extra requests by clicking
    • Doing this will remove the extra copies from your account.
    • You will have a chance to explain what happened to the requestor when you decline a request.

Agree with all the advice.

FYI-- recent forum discussion showed that TPTB said you can only post one copy of a book at a time so WL should NOT have allowed your book to appear as 4 separate books being available.

It's a really boring book. Not Bahr's best. The Judas Field is better.

And yes,

I just checked. All four holds are for the same person.

If she accepts them all then the system will take four credits from here. No?

I've contacted the powers that be.

PM her to tell her she should accept all four (she'll need four credits), and then you'll click that you can mail one and will cancel the other three.  (She'll get 3 of her credits back.)

If she declines one of the offers, she could end up have all four offers canceled, or so I've heard.

Nevermind,

As luck would have it, she's got a weird RC.
