Hi

I am new and want to join some challenges.  I have searched the forums but have been unsuccessful in my attempts to figure this out.

Thanks for your patience

Welcome!  We are doing 2 different ones here this year-a challenge by category and an alphabetical historical fiction challenge.  To participate you just make a post in the threads entitled LISTS ONLY.  These threads are only to keep track of your lists.  All the other threads pertaining to the challenges are to post your reviews and thoughts on the books you're reading for the challenge.  I bumped one thread and it looks like Jeanne bumped the other so they'll be easy to find :)

ETA:  Bumped the thread with the banners too in case you wanted to put one in your signature line.  Theres instructions somewhere in that thread for how to get them to the right size to work on PBS.

Hi Melanie and welcome to the HF forum! Looks like Holly and I are on the same track. We have bumped up the lists for our 2 challenges. You can take your pick of the two or join both of them. They are pretty self-explanatory if you read the first posts that Genie did. Pick your books from the categories listed or, in the case of the alphabet challenge, pick your books on either the title or the author's name. Any further questions, you can PM any one of us or post a thread.

Glad to have you aboard and we hope you have fun!!

Another tip: if you are at a loss for something in a category, take a gander through other people's lists.  I warn you, though, that it is at the risk of your WL and RL going completely out of control.

Melanie, Be sure to list the books that you are reading for the different categories and then cross them off  when you are finished. After that, go to the category thread for that topic and let us know what you think of the book!:P
