i posted a book into the system 3 days ago...the system says its wishlisted by 393 people...i thought it would be a quick and easy credit but its just showed as a wish list hold in my account and the number of people wishing has actually gone UP since i posted it.  I know it will EVENTUALLY get requested...but is that indicative of people not responding to their messages that a wishlisted book has been offered to them or is my book somehow stuck in limbo?  not griping, just wondering how it really works.

Each wisher has 48 hrs to respond that they want the book.  If it's been 3 days, it's on the second requestor at least.  A wisher can also decline the book too and it'll get passed to the next person.

With that many wishers, someone'll eventually take it.  In the meantime, you're weeding out inactive members.

Is your book actually on Wishlist Hold?  There may be >300 people waiting on the book but, you ISBN has to match, it may be the same title but, not the same ISBN.  If everything does actually match then it is like Sarah says and it is weeding out the wishers...
