This is not a PBS issue - I'm near an excellent mail hub and my PBS books usually arrive very promptly.  But I ordered a hardcover from half.com and the seller says they mailed it on 12/20.  Half says I should have gotten it by October 7th. I'm wondering how long I should reasonably give before I file a claim.

They mailed it last December?

Media mail can take up to a month depending on where it is coming from/going to. Media mail travels "standby" -- in other words, if they have room for it on the truck it goes out, otherwise it can sit where it is until there is room. It is not uncommon for media mail to take up to 3 weeks in the lower 48 -- toss Hawaii or Alaska in the mix and it can be 5 or 6 weeks if it doesn't make the right connections.

Well, it's officially a month today. :-(  I have had such terrible experiences with half.com. Love selling there, but buying always seems to go wrong.
