I'm unclear as to the timing of sending a book out. A book that I had on my wish list was requested from a sender. the label was printed  three days ago. So it seems they are interested in sending the book. How long does this person have to actually mail the book after the label was printed?

I am fairly new at this, but learning more each day!!

Thank you.  Debi J.   mztrees

There is the option to wait 5 days before accepting a request, then the option to choose 5 days to mail it out, and then there is a 2 day "honor system" period in which you can mark a book as mailed but still be okay to mail it within 2 days of that date.   The label can be printed out at any time after accepting the request.

A lot of people print the label immediately so the requestor can't cancel the request for the book or because they have limited coputer access.  But it's like Dawn said-it just depends on what mail by date they chose when they accepted your request. I rarely let a request sit before accepting it but I always choose the latest possible mail by date.  I usually don't print the label until I'm actually ready to mail the book out.
