I have one that has an ISBN on Amazon and other places, but is only listed in the book version here.

I can submit a request, right?  and also how long does this usually seem to take?

Laura, usually if an ISBN is posted at Amazon, the PBS system will pull it in immediately...or at least withing 24 hours (so check back).

Searching for it here once or twice will usually cause it to become available, without the need for any kind of a request. .

You have to search by ISBN to get the record to automatically add itself to the database. Type the ISBN, with no dashes or spaces, in the search box in the upper right corner. If that doesn't bring it up, wait 15 minutes and try again.

Ah ha...when searching for upcoming releases, I always wait until ISBN is available and use it for the search.  Apparently that's the reason for my success!  Sometimes forget that other members use different search methods.

Like Cathy says, search by ISBN then check back in 15 minutes.  Otherwise check daily or several times a week until your book is available to be pulled into the system.  We are currently seeing books that can be wishlisted as far out as fall of 2011.

I recently bought a new audio book, an MP-3 CD, Sandra Brown's EXCLUSIVE, from Audiobookstand.com.  I've been trying for about five days to enter it (using both ISBN's) to my TBR, but each time I get the error message that no book with that ISBN can be found.  Oh, well; I'll just keep trying daily.

Jan--you might want to do a search for the book your trying to add by putting the ISBN in the search box.  As Cathy says if the ISBN isn't in the system here, searching usually makes the system go out and find the book.

Cathy, no that's not the ISBN.

It is:  9781441814012

I just entered it again and the system is saying that I have a valid ISBN but it is not in the database.

Laura, I also used the Search feature and entered both IBSN's and I get the same message; i. e., valid ISBN but not in the PBS database.

I have it  here beside my computer to remind me to try again every time I log on to this site.  I'm hoping that eventually it will be included in the database because I want to post it when I'm through with it.  And it's so much easier to post a book with an ISBN than to post one without one.

That is odd. The search method usually does work as long as the book has a product page on Amazon, which this one does. It's here: http://www.amazon.com/Exclusive-Sandra-Brown/dp/1441814019/ref=dp_return_2?ie=UTF8&n=283155&s=books
