I received 9 books as a deal for 2 credits so I ordered 2 books off this members shelf. Today I received them and 2 books are water damaged and even look moldy on the bottom edge  of pages. Unfortunately, these 2 books aren't the ones I ordered. So, how do I mark these since the 2 I ordered aren't the damaged ones? All the books from the deal were from this members shelf so they all should have met the posting guidelines.

I''m not sure what the rules are, or if there are any.   I am not sure what I'd do, but I know I'd be tempted to mark them RWP.    Those books had been on her shelf.  She didn't mention in the deal that some would be unpostable books.   At the very least, I'd send her a PM and let her know, as nicely as possible, that I was disappointed in the deal.    AND that she should never list water damanged books.  Good luck

Thanks Cozi. I already sent a PM off to her along with guidelines from the help center. I know I received a deal and should be satisfied with the other books for 2 credits but if those books were mailed to me they could have been mailed to another member since they were on the members bookshelf.

I decided to mark them received and just added a note to the PBS comments section. As I was doing that I also noticed the books were mailed 6 days later then they were supposed to be. I don't know, I just don't understand some people.

I received a PM back and at least the member was nice and didn't deny the conditions of the books I received.

Mold transfers to other books! Be careful!

I know, I threw those books away. I'll keep an eye on the other ones.

We worked it out but found out after that the members 14 year old wrapped the books and mailed. The member never checked them before they were packaged.

I would have done what you did: reported them as OK but put a note to PBS that she sent other books as part of a deal that were on her shelf but not postable.  They probably were when she posted them but got damaged due to where she was storing them.
