I had a wishlist book, marked auto-check.

It was only on my wishlist once.

Now it's been accepted by two members, and I've been deducted two credits. Is there a way to stop one of them?

You can cancel one if the label hasn't been printed yet.  If there's a cancel link there, use it.  If the wrappers have been printed but not marked mailed, PM the sender and ask them NOT to mail and to cancel the transaction.

Did you maybe have it on your WL under 2 ISBNs?

No, just one ISBN. Both were marked accepted/printed.

Did you verify it was coming from two different people? I once posted a WL book and it offered it to the same person twice. Weird system glitch. Use the Contact Us link on the bottom of the page to send Feedback on the problem.

Sounds like a glitch.  See if you can get one of the people to not send the book.  And send Feedback to the PBS team, as Melanie said, either using the blue "contact us" link on the bottom of the page, or by clicking on "contact the PBS team" in the Help Center.  They'll want to figure out what happened.

It was from two different people. I asked one to cancel, but then pbs sent me an e-mail saying a person had canceled, so I sent a second PM to the person saying never mind, don't cancel, but then it turned out the cancellation was from some 3rd person, but then I thought, the wish list is 400 people, I'll just get two and send one back out immediately and lose $2 but get on with my life.

It sounds like one transaction timed out or was cancelled and then the request went on to the next sender.  Were both books showing up on your "Books I've Requested" tab at the same time?

What probably happened is: member A hit the post button or refresh button twice and got two copies of the book on her shelf. Both of them got offered to you. She canceled one of the requests. The book went back on your wish list because of the cancellation, even though she accepted the request. Member B then posted another copy of the book and that got auto-requested for you because it was on your wish list again.

How this happens is described in the help center item "I got two requests for the same book!" Member A should not have canceled the duplicate request. She should have sent in feedback and asked for help canceling so you wouldn't have gotten a second copy.

I would contact PBS and ask how to fix this as it sounds like a system glitch. I posted a WL book once when I first joined and it posted it twice and offered it to 2 different people.  I accepted the first one that accepted the WL offer and canceled the 2nd explaining what happened.
