I thought it might be fun to keep track of the number of pages we read throughout the year. I have a journal entry on PBS that tracks the books I've read, including the page count.

I know some of you all have me beat by a mile. But my page count to date, not including e-books, is 4,247.

What about you all?

Well Genie, this was enlightening for me as I thought I hadn't been able to do much reading as of late, but I have read 4,119 pages this year!

I've never thought about keeping track of the page amounts, but I love the idea. I'm surprised I don't already do it in my book catalog, especially when you consider how OCD I already am with my book catalog, lol.

Genie, I was just looking at the list of books you have already read in 2010 and I am ashamed. You have read so much more than me and you have a career! I am really slacking this year, gotta get it together.

I'll figure out my page numbers and post them later. I think I'm going to post the number on my challenge page too and, of course, I'll have to post it to my book catalog. Now, I'll probably obsess over getting the page numbers added to all of the "read" books listed in my book catalog. Thanks a lot, Genie. :-P

Well I'm behind all of you! As you know I work 2 jobs so have little free time to read, but when I've managed this year, I've read about 1,787 pages.

Wow, I'm jealous of all the reading you ladies can fit in!  Genie - I looked at your journal and that's quite an impressive list!!

I also have never kept track of number of pages read.  I don't have my books with me, but if I believe the page counts listed in my "Books I Read" list on PBS, I've read 3,526 pages so far if I include what I've read so far in Aztec.  I'm actually pretty surprised by this number, since I'm lucky if I get in an hour of reading a night at least 3 evenings during the week.

Doesn't that just make you feel grand?! :P

Well, don't look too closely, or you'll see that much of it is fluff. :)

I really don't mean to be competitive with this thread. I just thought it would be interesting to track. Believe me, I read a lot of naughty fluff. It's my escapism. The worthy titles (or at least, the HF titles) in my journal are bolded.
