Hi,  My books have been sitting for two months. . . and, I need to trade them. I have alot of Romance novels from my Mom.  How do I offer a deal?  Do deals generate interest?  I would be willing to send 2 for 1 credit.  But, I'm having twins in January. . . and, I would like to keep the trips to the post office contained to the next few weeks.

Thanks,

Linda

Post your offer in the Book Bazaar forum.  you can also put a note on your bookshelf header (there is a button on your bookshelf allowing this).  People won't see that unless they are already on your bookshelf, but it is a good reminder if they are on your shelf.

Book Bazaar is the place to post deals & I've always gotten a decent response when offering a deal there. Just be aware though that romance novels, unless they're newer ones or WL, often go anywhere from 6-for-1 to 12-for-1 so you might not see a lot of response for them at 2-for-1. I usually have good response offering a 'make-your-own' deal... you then have the choice to accept or reject their offer or negotiate.

Good luck!

Just an FYI: if someone request the deal and then has RCS you can't meet: Do NOT deny the RCS or cancel the request for any reason. Accept the request and them PM them asking them to cancel.  If you decline the RCS or cancel it'll reorder the book for them from someone not offering the deal.  This is a huge pet peeve of people who use the BB for deals.

How much does media mail postage run for multiple paperback books?

You can look that up on the post office website.  It's all based on weight for media mail. Usually an extra book will only add a little bit to postage unless you are mailing really heavy books.  Just depends on the weight. If you use the PBS postage you need to weigh the books and add the extra weight before you pay for the postage.
