I have a book that is WL under three of its other ISBN's but not at all under my ISBN. I got it by coincidence when I saw it promoted on one of the genre boards. Apparently, the ISBN attached to this book had the wrong spelling for the author, so the poster was saying she had the book on her shelf in case anyone was looking. I ordered it and then, once I received it and confirmed, I submitted the correction on the author's name. It has since been corrected by TPTB. I'm getting ready to post it within about a week, but I'd like a WL person to get it, since the WL'ed ones have many wishers.

Should I go back to the genre board and tell people I have it, or what? I know it would be snatched up quickly if I do list it, but not if people don't even know it exists.

In the Book bazaar forum, and in your signature.

You might also tag it 'same as ISBN xxxxx' but I don't know how much that helps.

I suggest tagging the other ISBN's, it does work.

there is also a thread in the BB that is for WL books under another ISBN

some people may want a specific ISBN/format so they may not care.  But also if the book has been corrected and shows up under the author name if you post it those with the other books on their WL should get an email saying there is a similar book available

Could you please tell me how I tag the other ISBN's? I'm not sure I know how to do that.

if you go to the description of the other books near the bottom of the page is a box that you can type in info and right before the box it says: Apply your own tag to this book:

and then on the right of the box is a button that should say +Tag

click on the button after you put in your ISBN info and it should be there anytime anyone looks at the book

hope this helped!

Thanks! As soon as I finish the book I'll do that. I'm hoping to get a quick response then. Lots of books out there and very few credits left in my "bank."

The tagging works I've done it a few times myself.  I just put "posted under ISBN#xxxx".  Usually if the binding is similar it's ordered quickly.  If the WL lines are for audio or large print then most likely they don't want say an mmp.  But a lot of people will take a mmp over a hardback or vice versa.
