The member to whom I sent a book has now sent me a PM telling me that they did receive the book, but that they no longer see it in their system to mark as received?    When it rolled to lost status, did he get his credit back ?    If there is no way to receive it, does he transfer a credit to me ?

He can mark it received. Just tell him to click on the "transaction archive" link on the top/left of his account page. He can find it and mark it received from there.

Yes, he should look in his Transaction Archive.  The book can be marked received from there (and your credit will automatically transfer if you didn't use PBS DC/postage).  He should not buddy you a credit, this will only add unnecessary problems to what is really an easy situation.

You have to be VERY CAREFUL in the Transaction Archive. That has both cancelled orders (folks who never responded) and active orders. Always double and triple check the sender before marking a book in your Transaction Archive.

In addition, a credit will be taken from your account if the book is in the Transaction Archive. (Your credit would have been returned when the book went "lost".)

The member said he found the book in archives and marked it received, however, I have not seen a credit added to my account for the transaction.

Does this take awhile ?   It has been over 24 hours.

It should be really quick. Did you check your own transaction archive? The book should have a green check mark rather than a blue question mark. It should also be in your credit registry, although that can be confusing as it is in a bookkeeping format.

OK - the book still has a blue question mark by it.  So I guess that means the member did not receive it correctly on his end.  I sent him the answer that was posted here and he said he found it in archives and followed the instructions and marked it received.   Any ideas ?

Possibly he had more than one canceled transaction in his archive and marked the wrong one received.  He should look at the name of the other member for the transaction he marked received and compare it to your name.

Since he's tried and is having so much trouble marking the correct book as received, I would contact the PBS team.
