This is probably a goofy question, but I'm looking to send a PM to someone who requested a book from me with an RC.

I have her screenname, but when I go to create a new message it only lets me select to send to those who are on my buddy list.

Do I have to request to become her buddy in order to send her a PM?

Go to 'My Account' where the request is. Within the request box, her name should be there with a link. If you click on the link, it should show her info with a 'PM' button.

Amy,

You cannot send her a PM from the book request until you've accepted it.  You can however, look up her screen name in the member directory and send a PM through there.

Rick, I cannot PM her from there, because there is no option to do so at this point. I would have to accept her RC first.

Mary, I did just what you said and it worked fine. Thanks so much!

I see now that Mary explained the Member Directory route.

You could also search the forums for her nickname and PM her from any post in the forums.

Oh, sorry I didn't understand the issue. Well, she was in the directory - great.
