I was just wondering if there is a way to tell how many copies of a book are out there for swapping?

Is there a place I can find this info, or more about this site?

Thanks.

When you find a book, you can click the Reminder List button.  Then.. when you go over to your reminder list it shows you how many are in the system.  However, it is only for that ISBN... if the book was published several times under different ISBNs, to get a accurate count, you could need to all all ISBNs to your reminder list.

Thanks Lita.

I did this and it worked.  I would like to know where my copy is in the list.  Is there a way to see that?

Thanks.

unfortunately, there is no way to see that.  i like to check when i first add the books to my shelf so i have some idea, but after it's been posted you can't see where your copy is in line.

I have always wondered about this.

Is there a place we could recommend this?

I know it wouldn't be 100% accurate since someone could always pull a book straight from somoeone's shelf thereby bypassing the FIFO order, but it would give us all an idea....

I've got a book on my shelf that has several hundred copies and I have NO IDEA where I am in that. I didn't know how to look it up for quite some time.  And, now, I wonder if it is worth keeping my copy on there or giving it to a friend, etc.

Yes, the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page.  But rest assured, that one has been requested by many people over a long period of time.
