Recently, I spotted several great books displayed in my favorite genre section of the home page.  I requested both, and even added a third from the same member.   Then, for some reason, I clicked on the books title and was amazed to see that one book was on one members wish list and the second was on two members wish lists.   How were these books available to be requested?  Shouldn't they have been offered to the wish list members first?  Am I overlooking something?  I don't see any way the books could have been wish listed from the time I requested them to the time I checked ( maybe a couple minutes) but I guess it's remotely possible.

Are you sure it was the same ISBN and the links weren't for different versions of the books? Like hardcover vs. paperback?

It seems to be the same ISBN.  It's the only edition available as far as I can tell.

Maybe they had been offered to the wishers but the wishers declined because of RCs or something?

That's possible.   I don't have any RC's.  The books are on the way.  Hope there's nothing wrong with them.

Rick's explanation seems the most plausible. Maybe ask the senders?

I have found this to happen often.  It's the banners.  They tempt folks.  There will be only one copy posted, but more than one person selects it from the banner.  You just had faster fingers.  The banner displays for all the folks that selected that genre.

I'll click on the banner display, and get kicked off due to the size of my WL.

I was going to say the same thing as Emily.  You were the lucky one who got to them first. But the pictures stay up there.  Others came after you and put the books on their WL.

I agree with Emily and Mary. I have been lucky a couple of times. I happened to click on a book as soon as it went on the banner and ordered it. Then I noticed soon after, it had 2 wishers!

I received the books today in pristine condition, so I don't think it's an issue with RC's.   I guess I was just lucky.   Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions.

This happened to me as well.  I saw 'Twilight' on the 'recently posted' banner.  I clicked on it and I got the book.  I was surprised to see it there.
