This book of Australian humor contains mostly stories from the Outback. I was able to appreciate it due to my Australian heritage, my schooling there and my readings about the country. Yet many of the short yarns are about the swag men, closely related to the hobos of the good ol' USA. So I figure most people here would enjoy these stories too. It is low key humor, mostly about putting something over on the other guy, usually a squatter or owner of a public house (bar), but sometimes another swag man.

Speaking of my Australian heritage, it came in very handy today (01/14/23) when solving Wordle. Hint: When I was a child, unlike most American children, I didn't have a Teddy Bear. I had something else due to my Australian mother.
