Okay, so this isn't technically paranormal, but since I learned about it from a Stephenie Meyer interview, I thought I would see if anyone else has read it.

Holy cow, what a great book!  I literally could not put it down.  I'd love to discuss it with anyone who has read it since I can't stop thinking about it!!

I'm glad to hear you liked it - someone gave this to me as a gift for Christmas and I haven't gotten around to reading it yet (since I joined this site my TBR pile has been growing astronomically, and it wasn't small to begin with...) but I may try to move it up to the top.  The plot seems really interesting and I'm sure I'd love to discuss it when I read it.

You should definitely move it up!! I know it's hard when you have a lot to choose from, but it's a very quick read.  I'm not sure what made me pick it up the day I did, but I'm so glad I went ahead and read it!

By they way, I've only been a member for a couple of weeks and my TBR, Reminder, and Wish List have quadrupled. I'll never get caught up if I keep adding to it, but I do it anyway!!  :)

I'm in the same boat - I just joined in December, and now I have a whole new pile of books to read.  Plus, now I spend a lot of time each day on this site when I am normally reading.  ;-)

Are you enjoying the Succubus books?  I loved the Vampire Academy books but haven't really branched out yet to others she has written.  I just read the first Morganville vampire book and really enjoyed that.  I have a number of "first in the series" books in my TBR pile and I'm trying to see which of them will stick.  I think Morganville and the Fever series by Karen Moning look like the keepers so far.

That's my problem too, I can't get off the site long enough to read as much as I used to!

I can't wait for the next Vampire Academy book to come out!  I am loving the Succubus books. I'm going to start the third one today. I also really liked her other one Storm Born.  I just think she's really funny.   I think we have a very similar TBR pile because I have the Morganville ones and the Fever series to start too. And since I joined, I grabbed all kinds of first in series too.  Maybe I'll move to the Morganville series next.

Les, like your son, my husband has started sneaking books onto my WL too.  He made fun of me at first for being so addicted, but after he got his first Vonnegut book in the mail he's hooked!

Hey Virginia,  I need to read Hunger Games.  It sounds awesome.  It is in my TBR.

I think I will read it after I finish the Jacqueline Frank series I am reading now.  I need to read Damian and Noah.  Then I have to read a Michelle Bardsley book I borrowed from my friend, then I will read Hunger Games.  Have you read The Host by Step. Meyer?

I don't have Hunger Games yet, but I'm glad to hear a good review!  It's been on my "that looks interesting" list since I first saw it a little while back.  Now maybe it looks more interesting...

Lori, I have read The Host. I loved it!  It took me a couple of chapters to really get into it, but I was hooked before long.  I can't wait to see where that story goes. I need to catch up on some books I've borrowed from friends too.  I have the last two Southern Vampire books to read of my friends so that she can pass them on!

Alexis,  I haven't read The Running Man, but I've heard a lot of people say that The Hunger Games reminds them of that book. Not sure if you've read it, but that would give you an idea of the feel of it. I was pleasantly surprised for there to be a bit of romance in it too because most of the time I find that even having a little makes books keep my attention better! Ha!

Lori, I'll second Virginia's views about The Host.  I really loved it, but it does take a little bit of time to get into it.  I hope she writes the next two that she has thought about in the same series, although I get the sense from the working titles that each book might be from a different character's perspective.  I'm a huge SM fan.

I can't wait to try the Succubus books, the first one is currently on my wish list.  I'm really enjoying the Morganville vampire series - just finished the third one.

I hadn't seen the working titles for the other Host books. I'll have to look those up.

That's good to hear that you're enjoying the Morganville series. I've heard good and bad things and was really hoping to love them. I've been trying to read them next, but someone I always end up picking something else up.  I definitely need to move them up my list!

I think they are The Seeker and The Soul?  But I might not remember that right.

Gotcha.  That would make sense then for it be through other characters' eyes. Hmm...interesting..
