When I first started to read this book it had me interested by the first ten pages. Another ten pages and I was hooked. I really can't do this book justice simply by words its compelling and exciting and it holds the reader like no book I've ever read or heard of. Its all these things and so much more.I would recommend this book to everyone. The Hunted was the first book I'd read by William W. Johnstone and because of it I try to get as many books of his as possible

This book begins with an intriguing mystery, which every government agency that hears of it simply must investigate. Naturally, competing interests and agendas quickly combine to fuel an unforeseen, violent confrontation that catapults not only the intended target of the investigation into deadly peril, but everyone around him as well. And as usual, the federal government's role quickly supersedes all other authority, and soon turns a debacle into a bloody disaster.
Fans of William W. Johnstone will recognize his favorite themes of courage, self-reilance and defying over-reaching authority in this fast-paced page-turner.
