Set in Michigan's upper peninsula in the 50s, a strange story of the killing of an 18-year old boy/man, summer resident, following the annual "Hunter's Dance", and why was he not only knifed, but bludgeoned, and poisoned?

Sorry not pic of the cover. The series is placed in Michigans upper peninsula(a very, very cold place,I have family there. We go up and thaw them out every other summer,it is cold then too).It is well written. The people are great the twist and turns are like a amusement park ride.
