I have a book ISBN 9781439153703 - CSI: The Killing Jar by Donn Cortez. It's a 2009 book. Here, the book shows as WL under the title CSI: The Year of the Knife. Everywhere else shows The Killing Jar. I can't find a reference anywhere as to a CSI book of 2009 or any other year entitled The Year of the Knife, let alone under this ISBN.

Since it's WL under that ISBN, it's my understanding it won't ever be changed to reflect the correct book?

I would try submitting a data correction on this. I did some googling and I can't find a book called "Year of the Knife" in that series either. Initially I thought it might be a case of a recycled ISBN, but it looks like the title is completely incorrect, and that should be changed. There is no sense in wishing for a book that doesn't exist.

I have found this book listed under this title and ISBN, but weirdly enough, I found it on two Korean websites.  It's a mass market paperback, published in 2009 by Pocket Books according to those sites.

Unfortunately, since this edition -does- seem to exist, it seems unlikely that the PBS listing will be changed...

Any time you submit a data edit for a title you should do and include significant research. Try at least 3 or 4 sites and include that research in your submission. If you find the book anywhere other than PBS showing with the title listed you shouldn't submit a data edit. It is not popular opinion nor pub date that dictates what gets the ISBN, its the first correct listing into PBS's database.

Hmmm...since I can't read Korean - and won't ship a book there either, lol,  I'll be out of luck. Actually, I went to the publishers website, figuring Simon & Schuster who publishes Pocket Books would have the correct information. http://books.simonandschuster.com/CSI-Crime-Scene-Investigation-The-Killing-Jar/Donn-Cortez/CSI/9781439153703 but apparently not, as they merely reflect the same information which my book has. I didn't find the Korean site and probably couldn't read it if I did, but I wonder if it's actually the same book (the author apparently is) - perhaps it was published under a different title there, and it's actually one and the same book?

My guess was that it was the same book but renamed for the Korean audience for some reason ...  since we can't change title information for PBS listings that are WishListed, the PBS listing would not be changed.

(The Korean sites don't indicate in English if the book is published in English language or Korean...)
