HI . . .is there a way to search for books on PBS using the ASIN number instead of the ISBN?

From amazon:  I am trying to find THIS book:

http://www.amazon.com/Horn-Hunter-Robert-Ruark/dp/B000RKWVA0/ref=sr_1_17?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1244650122&sr=8-17

It is listed on PBS in hardback and I have wishlisted that, but its also available in PB and I wouldn't mind receiving that version either, but the PB only has the ASIN number listed and I can't search it here.

A shot in the dark, but ya never know . . . someone in PBS Land might have it!

(I've had this question about other books in the past and finally just decided to ask here!)

Thanks for any advice that can be passed along!

Cheers,

Laura

I just searched by title (http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/browser.php?k=horn+of+the+hunter ) and there are multiple editions, but none seem to be available.  Unfortunately, you cannot search for older books via ASIN.

The cheapest copy I found on BookFinder was $21.

Yikes, what's ASIN?  Is that a foreign publication?  My only suggestion, is to do lots of research and see if you can come up with an ISBN.  Places like Abe books, or Powell may have something useful.

But if you can get it into the PBS system, somebody may have a copy!

Have you tried...

1571570241

from

http://www.amazon.com/Horn-Hunter-Story-African-Hunt/dp/1571570241

There seem to be different versions, if you don't care which one you get.

Have you asked about an interlibrary loan?  That might be the most economical way to read this book (which looks really interesting, BTW).
