I'm a member of the Readers of Romance Challenge group on Shelfari and the Spring list just got released. One of the categories is to read a book where the H/H are on either side of a family feud, ala Romeo and Juliet - when I checked the AAR list, there is an enemies-to-lovers list called Best Enemies but it isn't necessarily about family feuds, so all the books don't fit. For instance, My Dearest Enemy by Connie Brockway is listed - it isn't a family feud, but just animosity between the hero and heroine. So I can't tell which are which in the list!

My question is: does anyone have any recommendations for a book where the hero's family is feuding with the heroine's family? I found a couple of things by googling but not much. THANKS!

Melinda--If you like western romances, Joan Johnston has a series called Bitter Creek. The feud is between the Creeds and the Blackthornes. The books are: The Cowboy, The Texan, The Loner, The Price, The Rivals,The Next Mrs. Blackthorne. The first two would probably fit the category the best.

An oldie but a favorite is Amber Flame by Hannah Howell.  The hero and heroine's family are involved in a border war and the heroine is captured by the hero.  There's also The Secret by Julie Garwood.

Maybe Eclipse Bay by Jayne Ann Krentz? It's been a while since I read it but I seem to remember a family feud that started with their grandfathers and continued with their parents.

There's a family feud theme running through the "Lone Star Country Club" series (HQ/SIL). Also, in Harlequin's NASCAR series, there are some tie-in books with the feud theme.

When I was going through the Ingram today I noticed there are a couple of categories coming out in March that have feuds. If you're still looking for more suggestions I'll be happy to look them up for you. I should have jotted down the info and posted it instead of asking.......I hate when I do things like this. :)
