I'm pretty new to this stuff and I'm curious about the meaning of some of the columns in the My Bookshelf page that uses just one line per book.  That's the view of My Bookshelf that I believe only I can see.  For example, what are the group of stars for and what is the meaning of the numbers in the column beside the stars?

The stars are to rate those books, which you can then add to your Books Ive Read (BIR) list. The number is how many members have rated the book. So if it is 5 stars and a number 1, that will be the rating that one member gave the book,. If the number is two or higher, it will be an average of the ratings.

Thanks for the info, Poncer.  Now one more question:  What is the purpose/meaning of the little red circle with the little figure (footprint?) in it that is at the right end of the Posted: line?  It is right after the time of day and it is there for every book in the list.

The footprint, if you click on it, will show you where the book has been before you - if it has traded hands a lot through PBS, it will have quite a history.

I didn't realize what the footprint was for either.  Very neat!  I have randomly clicked on some though and nothing happens.  Does that mean the book has no history or is the feature not working correctly?

there seem to be a lot of features that aren't working right now, and footprints seem to be one of them.  on the My Account page, i can't click on any of the tabs - which were working fine last night.  footprints aren't working, and neither is rating reviews.  hopefully they're in the middle of something and it will be fixed soon.

I'm having the same problem clicking tabs on My Account page - I figured it was a computer glitch so I'm glad to know it's a problem others are having.
