I don't know if  I just never saw  it before, or if it is new, but I just noticed a little link at the bottom of each post that says ignore this member. Anybody know what this is?

That's been there for a few weeks now.  There were too many complaints over on the Club Members Thoughts forum so the PTB added the ignore feature.  If you click that, you will not see any posts that member has made.

This works if there is a particular person who just gets under your skin or whose post you'd rather avoid.   No biggie - no one ever knows if they are being ignored or not.

Note that the "ignore" only works for forum posts -- it won't block PMs or swaps or anything.

For me, and likely many others, a better solution is to simply stay away from the "Club Members' Thoughts" forum completely.   If members can not agree if saying "thank you" is rude or if not saying "thank you" is rude then it is quaranteed someone will be upset by whatever you say.

Ignore member is also useful for ignoring those members who are not annoying, but never say anything worth reading.

I found I accidently put a person on my ignore list. I think I clicked  ignore this member on the last post instead of watch this topic I sure hope I never do that again!!  I can't imagine ever intentionally using this feature becasue I can skip posts if I want to.

I enjoy the Club Members' thoughts and would not avoid it because I don't like some of the posts. I can avoid topics that don't interest me and participate when I want to.  I haven't noticed any objectionable posts or unpleasant posts lately and if there are I can stop reading. Just my 2 cents.

Elaine, you can un-ignore a member, there is a new link near the top of that person's forum post and says "read this post anyway"

once you do that at the bottom of the post is a link that says "stop ignoring this member"

Yes, I did find the unignore the person as soon as I discovered I had made the mistake and fixed it. I can't imagine they would have an ignore feature without the ability to change it back, anyone could make a mistake or change their mind.
