Intermediate to Advanced crocheting skill level. All the afghans have cross stitch on the crocheted base, which is just not my thing. I got the book as a gift, and none of the patterns appealed to me as something to put that much work into. Some nice baby afghans, but mostly the patterns were simply not to my taste. Expect to spend a lot of time on each project, even with good skills. Typical of Linsley's books, the directions are clear and easy to follow. The pictures give a good idea of the finished project.

One of these afghans would make a great gift, but only for someone who has a great appreciation for the time, work, and skill involved in completing such a project. These do take time, but it is time very well spent. The instructions are very clear. If you are already good at Tunisian and you know how to do needlepoint, you will find these afghans a breeze to make! Even if you are not proficient in these skills, you will be able to make the items in this book as long as you are patient and willing to learn.
