Does anyone know if the image submitted along with a book edit is working now?

Roughly, how many data approvers do we have?

Is it better to submit the image separately from the edit?

When submitting the image and data separately, do we still lose the image if for some strange reason the edit and image approval happen at the same time?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't know for sure... but I know I have seen lots of posts saying to use the separate link at the bottom for images.... and not to do the image part with the Book Edit.

Dang it.

Knew I should have tagged the ones I did that way.

Thanks, Lita!

It was suggested to me to submit the image apart from the data edits by a member of the image team.

I submitted a cover last night via data edit because the Upload Book Covers page kept returning the ISBN was invalid even though I copied and pasted it directly from the PBS website.  The ISBN field turned green, too. Hmmm.... Anyway, the answer to your question about image via data edit is yes. That said, the preferred method to submit images is to use the Upload Book Covers link at the  bottom of most pages so they will go directly to image editors. Please use the Upload Book Covers link at the bottom of most pages to submit book cover images.

I wouldn't think that submitting data edit and image separately would cause a problem. I believe data edit and images submitted via data edit go directly to data editors, not image editors.

Then there are the approvers. They are responsible for allowing the content to go public.

Daniel,

I had the same issue last week with an ISBN coming up invalid.  What it appeared to mean was that the image was already waiting approval, because they were on my bookshelf within a day or so.  My experience is that it may be a messaging glitch.

It was suggested to me to submit the data edits first, especially if it involves correctlng a title.  Otherwise the image won't match the title, and likely won't be approved.....and you'll end up resubmitting it after the data correction is done.
