I love powerful Lt. Eve Dallas and how the complex New York City crimes are solved. If you don't wanna bite her husband, don't read these books! Nora Robert's best writing is as JD Robb in this "In Death" series of some 30+ stories to date. I collect all of the JD Robb books, but skip the Roberts, whose stories are not as tight as those about Lt. Eve Dallas - ass kicker! If the future of New York is like this, I fear these futuristic killers who are sneaky and complex. The first 3 stories are my favorites.

This time around, Eve Dallas catches a case that has her professional life merging with her personal one.

When her friend Mavis is accused of murdering the former lover of her boyfriend, Dallas finds it difficult to gain enough facts to exonerate her -- especially since all of the evidence is pointing directly towards Mavis. Leonardo, Mavis' new love, has been hired to create Eve's wedding gown, but things turn ugly when Pandora, a high-class, world-renowned model and his former lover, turns up dead in his studio.

As Eve works to clear Mavis, things get worse when more people associated with Pandora start dying, and at the center is a new drug called Immortality.

This is another winner in the "...IN DEATH" series, and you'll do well to pick up a copy -- and read the series from the beginning!

I rate this book 5 stars! This is yet another riviting murder mystery by J.D.Robb. This "death series" continues with the lives of Eve Dallas, New York City Cop in 2059, her Irish husband Roarke, her Aide, Peabody and a revolving cast of charachters who are always involved in solving the latest murder. You could read any of them out of order, but if you chose to read them all in order as I have been doing Robb gives references to the previous murders, and characters in the series. I find this book as well as all of the others in this suspensefilled series to make the reader want to escape to continue the story again and again! I would recommend this book to any romance/murder mystery reader. Enjoy!

I've read all of the J.D. Robb In Death series and the only regret I had after reading them in chronological order was that when I became current, I had to wait until the next book was written. I enjoy her characters and her writing never bogs me down with too much detail...just the right balance. A good read.

In the 3rd of the Eve Dallas series, Eve shopping for a wedding dress to wear to marry the billionaire Roarke. A supermodel is murdered and Eve's best friend, Mavis, becomes the prime suspect. Also suspect is Mavis's boyfriend, Leonardo, who just happens to be the designer of her wedding dress. While investigating the murder and digging up the dirt on the fashion world, Dallas discovers that the model (and most of the suspects) are either consuming or dealing a new and illegal youth serum.

It's hard to guess the murderer is in this book, but you'll want to keep reading to find out "who done it". Great and fast read.
