The story takes place in a war zone in limbo between old and new gods. The main setting is similar to the TV show M*A*S*H, complete with the "incoming" announcements and conversations during surgery.

From there, it just kind of goes all over the place to include all kinds of paranormal creatures with as many themes as the author could include: lust, assassins, practical jokes, revenge, prophecies, and all overlaying a love story.

It wasn't too bad, but I'm still trying to figure out why some of the characters even needed to be included in the story. Sometimes I felt a little overwhelmed by everything that was going on. I liked the love story, but have to admit that I'm not chomping at the bit to read the sequel.

I thought I would really like this based on the blurb and the concept - a MASH style hospital with the Greek gods as patients! However, it ended up just feeling okay. For a book about the Greek gods there weren't very many of them in the story. I have mixed feelings about the heroine who I never really connected with. It was funnier than I expected, but I guess I was looking for more mythology and less fun. I'm not reading the sequel.
