Wow! This is definitely a book for our times. Anyone who has been paying attention to the health care debate would be interested in reading this book. It was written in several parts starting in 1955 through 1960. It doesn't say when it is set, other than in the future. The basic premise is what will happen when only certain people can afford health care. It ranges from the discovery of a family of immortal people and how they would be treated as well as talking about what could happen to civilization when 50% of the GNP goes to medicine.
