Mostly about his trip across the country from May to August, 1991, when the war was just heating up. It changed its focus later. He is a very good writer, as he admits himself he was a travel writer forced by circumstances to be a war correspondant. He was a little exasperated with the people there (as you can tell by the title), but he became pretty attached to the people he met.
