While the writing was pleasant, I found this "mystery" pretty much total balderdash. Nothing much happens as the story follows a young woman (daughter of the Master at one of Cambridge's colleges) as she becomes involved in what she thinks is a drug-smuggling operation at a cousin's country manor. There are passages that harken back to the author's great-great aunt which stop the "action" cold for a couple of chapters. It's somewhat disappointing, but I didn't have great expectations anyway. And too much fox-hunting!
