There were so many things that happened in this book - learning more about the afterlife (a LOT more at one point) and death and vampires and much more. Lots happened with character relationships, especially Paige and Lucas and Lucas and his father. Even perhaps the beginning of one between Jaime and Jeremy. I enjoyed seeing Elena and Clay again. Meeting Eve was also great - now I understand better how the next book can be her book even though she's dead. These books are just really "wow" books.
In the aftermath of her mother's murder, Paige broke withthe elite, ultraconservative American Coven of Withches. Now her goal is to start a new new Coven for a new generation. But while Paige pitches her vision to uptight thirty-something witches in business suits, a more urgent matter commands her attention. someone is murdering the teenage offspring of the underworld's most influential Cabals-a circle of families that makes the mob look like amateurs. And none is more powerful than the Cortez Cabal, a faction Paige is intimately acquainted with. Lucas Cortez, the rebel son and unwilling heir, is none other than her boyfriend. But love isn't blind, and Paige has her eyes wide open as she is drawn into a hunt for an unnatural-born killer. :Pitted against shamas, demonss, and goons, it's a battle chilling enough to make a wild young woman grow up in a hurry, If she gets the chance....

If you enjoyed Armstrong's previous books in this series then you will love this one. Bitten was my favorite so far but this book is a close second. Can't wait to read the next one in the series.
This is the only book I've read in this series and I must say that I am not impressed.
I prefer The Hollows series with the witch Rachel Morgan.
The characters more complex and the events influencing the lives of Rachel and her colleagues are much more interesting.
