Does an inscription inside the front cover of a book make it unpostable?? There's no writing on any of the pages, just the inscription inside the cover.

I'm new to all this and don't want to do anything wrong!

Alex, I can't get the cut-and-paste to work, so I'm just going to suggest that you go to the Help Center and search "Book Condition Guidelines" and read them there. You'll find among the detailed descriptions that inscriptions are OK.

Postable. From the help center-a signature or note on the flyleaf or inside front or back cover is OKAY

Hi Alex,

Welcome to PBS!  Writing on the inside cover is ok - there is just no writing or highlighting allowed on text pages.  I'd definitely recommend visiting the help center - there's a lot of good info there!

ETA - I must have cross posted!  :)

Thanks folks! I did read the guidelines a couple of days ago, but I've gathered from the forums that writing on pages is BAD so wanted to check!

thank you!

Writing on pages IS bad, writing (or inscription) on inside cover is OK.

Inscriptions are OK.  I've even received a couple autographed copies before.

Inscription or SMALL note, I just rec'd a book from a relative to post, and was totally dismayed when I opened it. The person that originally had it, literally kept a diary from the front pages to the back pages. The 4 pages are completely filled! I don't think that's what PBS had in mind when they said and inscription or note! hahahaha Stupid people!
