I have a 25-year old book that's just been requested from me. It's in excellent condition except both inside covers are very yellowed, though the text pages are fine. No RC from requestor. I need reassurance it's o.k. to send out. - I always go through the stress of hoping the book arrives safely *and* that the requestor will be happy. I know - chance we take! |

Age-yellowed pages are fine. The paper inside of the cover is even less of a concern. No worries. Last Edited on: 9/14/10 9:18 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

This just indicates that the inside covers were made from a more acidic paper than the rest of the book. They have aged more rapidly. That is fine. |

I've sent many older books in that condition, and see it more frequently now even in books 6 -10 years old. |

if concerned, pm the requestor and ask if they mind |

I'd just send it. I wouldn't PM because then you get in the situation that you don't know WHAT to do if they never answer the PM. I see no need to PM about any book that meets the PBS guidelines. |
