I mailed 17 packages yesterday.  I received instant credit for all but one (box with 4 books total of 4 credits ) how do I find out what went wrong with the one package???

You are saying you used Instant Credit (Full postage) or Quick Credit (DC only)? I ask because I don't see the postage icon you should get if you used the full postage on 17 packages.

If you did use full postage with Instant Credit, verify you marked the book mailed and it is now on your Books I've Mailed tab.  If that is all OK, look in your Credit Registry to confirm the books do not show there. If they don't, then send in Feedback.

If you used DC only with Quick Credit, did you mail at the window paying for postage there and see it scanned? If you just dropped it off with postage on or used the APC, they may not have scanned it. Because its a bigger package it may have taken a different (and slower route) and hasn't hit a sorting facility yet.  If you took it to the counter and saw them scan it, look at the USPS.com site with the DC and see if the scan shows there. If the scan is there but not on PBS, I'd give it until this evening to show and then send in Feedback. If there is no scan on the USPS site, then you'd need to call the post office and find out why a scan they did isn't on their site.

Melanie,

I used quick credit sorry, I always get the 2 mixed up.  I did pay postage at the post office and watched her scan them all.  I even called the post office and ask if they would re scan it.  They said they couldn't because it had already been scanned

No problem, I just wanted to clarify because the answer was different based on what you used :)

Is the scan showing up on USPS.com? If its not, look at your receipt to confirm they did scan it, mine has missed some when I bring in piles.

Did you look through your Credit Registry for them just to be sure it is that package and not something else the credits are missing for?

I usually recommend waiting 24 hours from the time I first see the scan on USPS.com before contacting the site just to make sure its not a timing of an upload issue.  No one needs to listen to that recommendation :) and you can contact them at anytime, but if there is no scan showing on USPS then PBS can't do anything. Most likely the package will get scanned along the way and hopefully the next scan will trigger the Quick Credit.

Yeah, there is nothing on the USPS site for that DC yet. Either they messed up their upload or its slow for that package.

Since its a USPS issue and you've already talked to the PO and they say they can't do anything, I don't think there's anything to be done other than wait for the USPS to scan it again or get that scan into their system.

I have this same issue.

I took a whole bunch of boxes to the PO last Saturday, paid the postage at the counter, watched them scan the DC #s, and I have a box of 8 books that I don't have the credits for yet ... from 5 days ago. I got credits from the other 7 boxes the same day.

Do you desperately need the credit?  Then give it a few days to show up.  I wouldn't stress myself out over a credit not showing right away.

Same thing happened to me (which is why I was looking over the help forum).  I watched them scan them at the post office, yet nothing shows yet.

I still have not gotten my 4 credits for the box I mailed.  Hopefully when the member marks them received the credits will come LOL.
