Voting in Progress...

So I was wondering if we wanted to use this thread as kind of a book club where we choose books and read them and then discuss them? Anyone interested in that at all or not? I would love feedback on this!

Here is my idea:

I was thinking that we could take a poll to see what are the 5 most popular chick lit books (or the ones you are dying to read) on our tbr lists. Then out of the five we can see which books are the most popular and narrow it down to 3 books. Hopefully most people will have at least one they havent read and then we can discuss all three of them in a book discussion thread. (You don't have to read all three) After we pick the books we will start discussing these books as soon as it seems as though most people have finished reading them that wanted too. You can post any questions you have while reading, those of us who have finished the books would probably be more than happy to help you out!

Anyway, I hope that made sense! Let me know if you like this idea, and if you do please list the top 5 books in your tbr list and we can pick the 3 most popular ones..

if you have any questions just post that too!

Count me in

I have so many in my TBR pile, so I don't mind reading whatever everyone chooses.

I'm not sure I could 'keep up' since I'm still reading chick lit books most of ya'll read a long time ago LOL but I'd like to see some threads discussing book..gives me ideas which ones to buy if nothing else (and I'm one of those rare few that knowing what happens in a book doesn't spoil it for me!)

Great! I'm glad we have some interest in this.

I don't feel right picking the book all by myself so if you all would please list between 3-5 books that you are wanting to read then we can see which ones are the most popular.

Jennifer, what a great idea, please count me in!  I have been wanting to read JEMIMA J for a long time now, I even went out and bought it.  There are soooo many chic lit books I want to read, I don't know where to start!  I just received three Cecelia Ahern books *PS I LOVE YOU  *LOVE ROSIE and *IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW  that I think would be fun to discuss with others, but I'm sure most people have already read these already.  I'm a little behind as I just recently discovered chic lit, so maybe we could make up a list and put it to a vote?  Anyway, this sounds like fun!!

I would love to join in also.  The only book I've haven't read in the options above is A Date With The Other Side, but whatever ya'll decide is fine with me.  I can discuss a book I've already read.

My choices

Persuading Annie- Melissa Nathan

As Seen On TV- Sarah Mlynowski

Babes in Captivity- Pamela Redmond Satran

Whose Wedding is It Anyways- Melissa Senate

Third Time Lucky- Claire Cross

Melissa

Sorry for the delay ladies, I have been sick alot lately.  I was hoping to see a few more titles posted but since this is the first ever book discussion let's just go with these. If you all could post your top choices from this list and the most popular choice we will do a discussion with. If you have a title you would like to add just leave it in your post. It is hard to find books that none of us have read so some discussions we have may be books you have already read but always feel free to join along in the discussions! :)

Or... we could always scratch this idea and just do a different book every two weeks?? suggestions welcome!  :) I want you all to have fun with this! lol  If this idea is okay then VOTE now! lol

Up for Voting is....

My vote goes for Jemima J, but I'm willing to do any of the books listed because I haven't read any of them!  That makes me feel bad!  LOL  I used to be a suspense/thriller reader (Dean Koontz/Stephen King/John Saul) but since joining PBS I've expanded my horizons and have found some real great genres.  Now I have this overwhelming feeling that there are so many books and so little time . . .

I've been watching this thread with interest and I vote for Fly Me to the Moon (since I just got it on PBS!).  I vote for once a month or every 6 weeks, every two weeks is too fast for me!

I am interested!  Two books in my TBR are:  Sweet Potato Queens' Book Of Love and another one by Carly Laine When Size Matters.  I am new to PaperBackSwap so I am sure some of you may have already read these.  I am looking forward to sharing any and all good books!
