Interwoven is so filled with the details of pioneer living that it is a factual and charming view into the past of Texas ranch life.It is also a view into the personality of an extraordinary woman, who stood with her husband through every sort of family problems, from loss of children to the burden of mortgages. She was the daughter of a Texas cattleman and married a cattleman and lived her life in the isolation of a small area of west Texas. This is more than a ranch chronicle that reveals family life of old-time ranchers, but a perspective that comes from realizing that other places than the where one is writing exists.
