Sorry it's taken so long for pictures! Today is the first day I've gotten my laptop out since having him and I couldn't figure out how to post pictures from my phone. :) Today Sawyer is a week old and it's been such a wonderful week. He's the sweetest little baby ever! Our 5yo daughter is completely in love with him and loves helping me mother him. :) She hasn't expressed much disappointment in gender, although she has told a few people "I don't have a baby sister." which breaks my heart just a little bit. He's our last, and I'm sorry to not be able to give her a baby sister. But she's very much enjoying her baby brother and I think she'll be just fine. :) Our 3 year old was VERY reluctant after Sawyer was born. My friend kept him at her house the day of the induction and overnight and when they came up to see us that next morning, he didn't want anything to do with the baby and even said he couldn't come home with us. Completely NOT what we were expecting. It took a few days for him to warm up to baby, but he has since given him 3 kisses, cuddled in bed with him, and has called him "MY baby" and said that my friend could not keep him afterall. He still says he doesn't love him, but I'm sure he really does. :) He has said that he couldn't have his cars and trucks, but he would get him his own. LOL! Sawyer is a great nurser. He was a total pro from the get-go and at his 5 day checkup with the pediatrician, he had already passed his birth weight. The pedi was shocked and said he was doing amazing and to keep on doing whatever we were doing. :) He sleeps well and loves to cuddle.

Brand new:

Hello there!

I caught a milk-drunk smile :)

Little chubs at his Dr. appointment. He was up to 8lbs 6.5oz at 5 days old. :)

Precious, sweet, sweet, blessing ... and handsome to boot!

Congratulations, again, Kelly! And please keep us informed on the 3-year old's progress ... I LOVE those stories & hope you have written them down somewhere. When they get older and are completely devoted to each other, you need to share these stories!

heart

Kelly

So, so sweet -- and that milky smile is adorable.

(My son was none too happy when his little sister was born. But I should have known that he wasn't too excited about a sibling joining the family when we were discussing names beforehand and he opined that we should name her "Miss Nobody.")
