This was a fantastic book. It is a book about a bisexual man, and his life and loves. It was a very vivid, candid, real book about the emotions and struggles of the main character who is a bisexual black man. I finished this book in one day because I could not put it down. I saw the author on the Oprah show, and I was so interested in what he had to say that I ordered this book. It was worth it. It was the first time that I had ever read anything about an alternate lifestyle, and I was kind of nervous at first. The book is frank, and candid without being perverse or overtly sexual. I enjoyed it beginning to end and have ordered the follow up novel to it.

This is a powerful and vividly told story that presents a riveting look into the minds of bisexual Black men. But you don't have to be bisexual or Black to appreciate this most thought-provoking book. The main character, Raymond, is so likeable that you are on his side, even as he discovers his bisexuality and makes some mistakes as he comes to terms with what this means to him. You must be open-minded to appreciate this story, but I am sure after reading it that you will have a better understanding of lives that may be very different from your own.
